Sarasota isn’t necessarily known for catering to their younger crowd, seeing that most of the population isn’t as such. When a place happens to surface like The Box Social, which just opened its doors downtown, it makes me smile. Two friends opened the place to cater to the – gasp – 18-30 year-old crowd and are packing the place without an official “grand opening.” Local art, live music, and free drinks…the trifecta of good times.
The comments section from readers on the article front scare me about its acceptance, touting it as – among other things – “an alternative to sniffing glue at home.” Sounds good to me.
